Amazing burger and great complimenting fries! - The Derby Burger - 14: Medium to high quality meat and it was delicious! The half pound patty was a little charred on the outside, but VERY juicy on the inside. There was a bit of seasoning that was almost undetectable because it complimented the savory flavors so well. The toppings were good. There wasn’t a lot of onion, but it fit the flavors just right that way. The burger overall was hardy. It was a bit taller (but I have a big mouth). - Fries: Wonderful! Medium cut with a slight coating that added a great hardy flavor. It complimented the burger perfectly. - Conclusion: I would HIGHLY recommend this place. The food is local (RIGHT down the road) and great quality. I’d put them in the top 20 or maybe top 10 in the Greater Grand Rapids area all things considered. It was a great value, too!! Work provided on a Thursday for lunch. It was takeout.

First time here.. and it will not be the last! Excellent service... beautiful atmosphere... the food choices that we had for lunch were not only delicious...but also presented beautifully. Gluten free options also a bonus. Our group of 4 were so impressed with everything about this gem of a restaurant. If you haven’t tried it.. please do!

This spot was so unassuming!! The food was fantastic. The fry flight was a super fun app. We all ordered pizzas as our main course... the cauliflower crust was delicious.

Our group bordered all different items for lunch. Everyone's meal what it was a sandwich or a wrap looked and they said tasted wonderful they came accompanied with some flavored crispy kettle chips that we all sampled and they were delicious! Two of us ordered the soup of the day which was a ham and cheddar cheese and broccoli soup. Again that was delicious and we each had a side salad. That too was better than your normal side salad.. very nice large croutons and cucumbers and cherry tomatoes, onion. Our server was very pleasant and attentive and our food came out very promptly!

TLDR: a nice new place in Hudsonville with good vibes, good service, plenty of bar space, a side room with a fireplace, good atmosphere and good food. For drinks we started with a Diet Coke and a soda water with a lemon and lime- saving our calories for dessert . We ordered a special item, I think, for our appetizer. I don’t see an equal description on the menu pics I took, so I’m thinking it must’ve been a special. It was some sort of (crab or smoked salmon? Can’t remember) dip with pretzel chips. The dip was yummy and the pretzel chips were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside- super tasty and the textures complemented each other beautifully. He ordered the The Greek (whipped feta spread, pickled red onions, lettuce, tomatoes finished with tzatziki on brioche bun) which he very much enjoyed, but mentioned that when he finished it, he was ready for it to be done . The flavors were bold, the quantity was appropriately filling, and it was just enough to not want more of the same flavor. I ordered the Falafel Wrap (falafel hummus spread, marinated tomatoes, arugula, pickled red onion, house made tzatziki in pita bread) with sweet potato fries. The wrap was delicious and decently sized, but not too much. The falafel was seasoned well. The SWEET POTATO FRIES THO! They were fantastic! I believe they put brown sugar on them or something, along with salt- it was a perfectly sweet and savory combo. For dessert, we ordered the Seasonal cheesecake -creme brulee - he loves cheesecake and I love creme brulee, so this was a perfect treat for us! The crispy top shell was perfectly paired against the rich cheesecake creme, and the fresh strawberry on the side was a welcome palate pleaser. The service was good- our server was attentive, thoughtful and suggested all the right things for us. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and will most likely visit again if we are in the area.

The food here was amazing. I got the slider trio flight and my table shared the fry flight which included an assortment of sauces. No one had any complaints about the food. Very generous portions. The only downside was the noise level. it was quite loud and hard to converse. Service was spectacular.

I just ordered take out from this place for the first time. Got the half chicken, burnt ends and the braised beef sandwich. The food was phenomenal, such wonderful flavor. The mash potatoes I got with my chicken was so good with the gravy they give you. And the burnt ends, I could just eat 3 pounds of that and be happy for life. You can tell in the first bite of anything you eat, it's made with care and with passion. Excellent in every way. But unfortunately i didn't catch the name of the girl behind the bar today. She was such a wonderful addition to my experience because she was so kind and helpful and she was not only running the full bar but I saw her taking care of tables as well. And while running around she never forgot I was there and went to check on my food without me even feeling like I needed to remind her. The customer service is just as wonderful as the food. I look forward to trying more of their menu!
